I am currently offering complementary therapy sessions with carers at Care to Connect in Fort William.

I have also given seated indian head massage and shiatsu with Highland VIP (visually impaired) walking group and at Partnership's For Wellbeing's Friendship club with older people in the community

As a complementary therapy  practice, we take your privacy seriously and handle all information in accordance with data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).   1. The Data We Collect. We collect and process the following information to provide safe and professional reflexology treatments: Contact Information: Your name, address, phone number, and email address. Emergency Contact: Name and phone number of a trusted contact person. Health and Lifestyle History: Current health conditions, medical history, medications, sleep patterns, stress levels, and lifestyle habits. Treatment Records: Session dates, notes on findings, physical responses to treatment, and aftercare advice provided. ​  2. Why We Collect It & Legal Basis. We process your data under the following legal frameworks: Contractual Necessity & Consent: To perform an initial consultation and deliver your complementary therapy treatments safely. Special Category Data (Health Data): We process health data under the basis of providing health or social care treatment. Legitimate Interests: To send you transactional appointment confirmations, reminders, and updates regarding your booking. Consent (Marketing): If you opt in, we will use your email address to send you our practice newsletter, health tips, and promotional offers. You can withdraw this consent at any time. ​  3. How We Store and Secure Your Data. We are committed to keeping your information safe. Because we utilize physical paper files for our notes: All intake forms, health histories, and session notes are handwritten or printed and stored securely in a locked box in a secure location. Only authorised personnel (Jayne Preece) has access to the keys and the storage area. Your digital contact details (used for appointment reminders and our newsletter) are stored securely on password-protected electronic devices using two-factor authentication. ​  4. Data Retention (How Long We Keep It) To comply with professional insurance standards and legal regulations, we retain your records for the following periods: Adult Clients: Records are securely kept for 7 years following your last treatment session. Child Clients (Under 18): Records are securely kept until the child reaches age 25 (or age 26 if they were 17 at the time of their last treatment). Marketing Lists: We keep your email for marketing until you unsubscribe or request removal. Once the retention period expires, all physical paper files are permanently destroyed using a document shredder. 5. Sharing Your Information. Your personal data is strictly confidential. We will never sell, rent or share your data to third parties. We will only share your information if: You give explicit consent for us to write to your GP or another healthcare provider. We are legally required to do so by a court of law or regulatory body. ​  6. Your Rights Under data protection law, you have rights including: Your right of access: You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. Your right to rectification: You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. Your right to erasure: You can ask us to erase your personal details, though this does not override our legal obligations to retain medical/treatment notes for insurance purposes.
